Review - The Avengers (2012)

One of the best adventure movies of all time!

The multi-superhero starrer, The Avengers has started storming the Indian box office too. The film which features the likes of Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L. Jackson has hit screens across India, on Friday.

Few years ago in the movie Iron Man, Samuel L. Jackson appeared as Nick Fury and spoke to Tony Stark about joining the Avengers Initiative. The end certainly had set a new beginning now.

The cast has done a great job. Robert Downey Jr. has played the role of Tony Stark effortlessly and has delivered some extraordinary dialogues. Chris Evans looks as good as how he was, in Captain America. Chris Hemsworth as Thor, has some power packed action sequences, and has managed to do it in style. The character of Black Widow might have been under-utilised in Iron Man 2, but Scarlett Johnasson has a lot to offer in this flick. Though Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye character has very less screen space, he has done a decent job. It looks like Mark Ruffalo is a better choice to play the Hulk, than Eric Bana and Ed Nortan Jr.

The visual effects and art work have been very well implemented and all the members of the cast have done a very good job. The script has been designed to elevate the movie's positives. Viewers, who haven't seen any of the movies of these Maravel superheros will not feel left out, as every character has a brief introduction. The film is filled with lots of hilarious moments, which often takes the movie forward. Although the film is filled with many characters, each character has been given at least one special scene. The film's climax turns out to be the best climax of any adventure movie, till date!

The verdict: Fun filled roller-coaster ride. Will make any one want to watch the movie, more than once.
