IT Raids On Samantha, Nayanthara & Vijay Houses

In a shocking move just one day before the release of most eagerly anticipated film, Puli, the Tamil Nadu Income Tax officials raided the residences of Puli hero Ilayathapathy Vijay's residence, along with the residences and private properties of several other crew members of Puli.

Reports say that the IT officials found that no proper records were maintained in handling the investments and accounts of Puli finances. Not stopping here, the IT Raids were also conducted on the houses of two leading actresses of southern cinema, Samantha and Nayanthara.

Reports further say that even the Hyderabad residences of these stars were raided at the same time. As many as 32 places in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kochi have been under the IT department's raids early this morning. Not many details are available regarding the seizure of documents or assets yet. Leading Kollywood producer Kalaipuli S Thanu, Madurai Anbu, PT Selvakumar and Shibu Thameens are also under the IT raids.

All the actors and the producers, along with their auditors, are currently explaining their accounts and assets to the IT officials. Talking to the media at his Chennai residence, Samantha's father said that his daughter has always paid her taxes properly and that she has never resorted to tax evasions.
