Movie: Oru Nadigaiyin Vakkumoolam
Banner : Seven Sun Movie & S S A Movie
Cast : Sonia Agarwal, Ganja Karuppu, Rajkapoor
Direction : Rajkrishna
Production : K Prashanth
Music : Aadhish..
It is a peep into the personal life of an actress. Debutant filmmaker Rajkrishna has managed to come out with a movie that aroused a curiosity before its release.
No doubt everyone would love to run through the pages of an actress’ personal diary. Oru Nadigaiyin Vakkumoolam is an attempt at unraveling many mysteries and myths in their lives.
The comeback venture of Sonia Agarwal does live up to all hype in parts. Unfortunately there is nothing new in terms of twists and turns and the movie proceeds on a cliched path.
Producer Punnagai Poo Geetha deserves a pat for taking guts to touch the bold theme. No doubt, its an honest attempt by Rajkrishna.
Anjali (Sonia Agarwal) a popular actress vanishes one day. A flashback reveals the ups, downs in her life and her current status.
Anjali is from Andhra Pradesh and she is the daughter of a poor artiste (Yogi Devaraj). Her mothers vows to make Anjali an actress, and for that, she brings her to Chennai and goes from one studio to the other in search of opportunity.
The young girl is no exception to the decade old ‘practice’- that she has to agree for casting couch. She offers herself to greedy men and becomes a top actress.
Now her mother uses her as money making machine. Unable to tolerate mental and physical abuse, she takes extreme step.
Sonia Agarwal deserves accolades. She emotes well and pours out sorrow well indeed. Girija, Yogi Devaraj, Raj Kapoor, Manobala, Kovai Sarala are also in the cast.
Rajkrishna who handles a daring story has tried his best. But less convincing.
